Tom Szigeti is a PHD student in NYU's history department. Origionally from Cleveland, he spent several years working in Budapest as a journalist (and occasionally ReConnect Hungary guide) before returning to the US for graduate school, where he works on nationalism and memory in Austria-Hungary and her successor states.
